Some Banality ...!

I can't stop laughing after reading all these. No hard feelings. Just take it easy! I am not a supporter or I am not against "current" Indian Captain! Have fun!

Best Seller by Ganguly: Back to the Pavillion in 2 minutes

- Shoaib Akhtar admits Ganguly is faster and quicker than him. "I
haven't seen any one get out so fast. Man, I envy his speed. I am
quick but he is quickest.", he says. "I think I should now cut my run
up short when I bowl to him. Or else, he might be gone when I am half
way through my run up."

- Narain Karthikeyan to get some tips on Speed from Ganguly. His
sponsorers have asked him to talk to the Prince of Kolkata. They are
also planning to endorse Ganguly.

- Dinesh Karthick confesses that his skills in getting ready and
padded have improved a lot. As soon as Ganguly goes to bat, I know
there is very little time in getting ready. "I must have broken world
records a few times in this series" , says the Indian dimunitive
wicketkeeper.

- Q: Any Guesses which is Ganguly's favorite movie?
A:Gone in 60 seconds.

- Railways keen on Ganguly: Atleast we'll be having someone who comes
(back) before time. This will help them improve the image with the
Indian public.

- Q: Which was the hottest place in B'lore Chinnaswami Stadium for the
past few days?
A: The seat Ganguly was sitting in while in the Pavillion.

- Ganguly to donate all his bats to charity. "I don't require a bat
nowadays", said the Indian southpaw.

- Dravid's latest comment on Ganguly: "In the pavillion, there's God,
and then there's Ganguly (always there)".

Long live Ganguly! As long as he's there, (others) have nothing to fear.

Amar Sonar Bangla! Ganguly for President.

What's Cooking!!!

Age : 0-21
Place : Sangli, India (My home town)

I need a tea. I will shout, “Aai, Mala Chaha De” (Mother, give me tea).
It is not a request, but an order! Same about the food! Anything you want, just tell mom and she will make it for you!

Eating habits : Only Veg.

Age : 21-24
Place : Mumbai, India (Amachi Mumbai)

I need a tea. Go out side appt, ask Bhaiyya, “Ek cutting dena Bhai”.

My first 24 years, I hardly cooked anything, not even used to make Tea, so forget about Cooking!! And I never thought I would!

Eating habits : Mostly Veg. Used to eat Non-veg very rarely (say once in a month)

Age : 24-25
Place : UStayAlone

I need a tea. Then what you stupid??? Go and make yourself!! No body around to give order or request!

My first 24 years, I hardly used to have non-Veg Food. NEVER cooked there!

My First one and half months in UStay Alone, we used to have either Chicken or Fish everyday. I had to and I started liking it also! But the best part was, I was living with 3 good cooks, Shrihari, Avijit n' Sharad. All of them were married, but their wives were in India at that time. So they were doing “good karma” of feeding me and my friend Sabari! At that time, the worst thing me and Sabari, used to do was to wash our dishes! Cooking ?? Who says you need to cook ?

Good time n' Good dre@m$ always come to an end! All the good cooks had to shift as their family had come here. Me and Sabari were the only bachelors. We both knew that we should not live together as both of us can't cook. So I decided to stay with Sandeep and Sanjay!

Sanjay was a good n' "veggy" cook! So I was really happy that I could eat more veggy stuff now. He and my other friends, Inderpuneet and Deepak, were my GURUs. I literally started cooking by looking at these people.

Good Times n’ Bad Times!! Two months! That's all! Now no body of them were around!

Sanjay and Inder shifted to different projects and different states while Sandeep and Deepak went back to India. Then I started living with my current roomie , "buddy". The funny part is both of us are competing for the title "The Laziest person in the milky way galaxy". Here is the typical conversation(?) between us!
Our principle of cooking was simple….”Whoever is more hungry will cook on that day”! No need to tell ya that most of the time we used to eat outside!

The weekends would be fun!
The “scene” on Saturday morning :

We have woke up at 11 AM and watching some TV program. Its 1 PM now. Both of us are hungry, but expecting that the other guy will get up for cooking. But Naaahhh!

So I look at him and ask, “So what should we do for Lunch today.”
Buddy will look at me as if he is just awake from sleep. When the words “L U N C H” hit his ears, he will remember something. Don’t worry I will also be thinking on the same page. Yeeeeeeeeesss… our favorite hotel ..”Mallik Biryani House”!

So he will give me a wicked grin and I will answer back to him with the same. Then both of us will shout, “ Chalo Mallik…..!”

Bad Times n’ Good Times!! Two months! That's all!

Soon Chandan, my friend from India, realized that we were spending too much money on food outside. Also he observed that eating the outside junk food we are becoming Pale! (Don't ask how did he observe us from India. I used to send him our photos from here you STUPID!!) So he landed in our appt straight from Mumbai!

His GOOD LUCK..!! what else I can say. He was very enthusiastic and was always eager to make new recipes by “googling” them. So me and buddy decided to give him a complete support from our side and gave him a complete freedom to make any dish he wanted to! We never tried to interfere in his cooking. We decided that we should help him improve his cooking skills by giving him chance to do all the cooking stuff alone. We even helped him by suggesting few good menus and he made them. It was our complete support and dedication to his cooking skills, (dedication here stands for "only eating all the good menus" that he prepared.......just a clarification!) that made him a better cook in very few days! And I am very happy that he understood our "gr8" efforts in helping him achieve this feat!

This time, “Good Time” was for 3 months!

Why it ended, what happened next and answer all those questions in the next blog :D

VanDe Mataram !!

Today is the day three brave men gave their lives for their country. They were no ordinary men. They were men who dedicated their lives, who fought the British till their last breath. I'm not sure if even half a million in this country know about this great deed! The three of them were mercilessly killed on this day by the British. The three men were Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. There's not one word in the papers or in the news about the importance of this day. Every newspaper/news channel is full of news about the "friendship" series, the final test between India and Pakistan!! Let us show some respect to these great men today.

Bhagat Singh

Rajguru

"BLACK" is "HOLY WHITE" !

I was merely two years old and my destiny was written! "There you go. Thou shall be deaf and blind forever your life." As a child it was very difficult to digest this fact. I had not even known what did that mean. Something was always following me. All the time! I never knew what it was. Later I learnt that people call it a darkness. I was totally insane then. I didn't know what to do. So I would do anything... just anything .... resulting in myself getting beaten up.... just to give me energy to do more of such things! The BLACK had rotten my mind! The BLACK ... the darkness and the long silence!

I was very happy to make my own life miserable because I was tired of being followed by the darkness. I wasn't aware that all that I was doing was making other people's life miserable too! Then YOU came into my life. YOU were different than the other people around me. YOU made me realise that darkness is following me because I wanted it to follow me. YOU gave me the energy to fight against my destiny. YOU gave me strength to fight against the darkness. YOU made me realise that I could change my own destiny. YOU were the one who showed me my own world through my dreams. I realised that I don't need eyes to see my dreams!

My world was darkness and silence. I was very curious how the world around me is which is full of light and zest. YOU helped me to see the world through YOUR eyes. I couldn't listen, but I could feel the zest of life through YOUR words! Words ...hmm... YOUR words flowing through YOUR hands. At this point I could feel that I have surmounted the world!

I had regretted about not having eyes before YOU met me. YOU taught me that not having eyes is not the reason for not to have VISION inside you. YOU infused VISION inside me. But destiny had its hand to play. When I had achieved what YOU wanted me to, I had to regret that I don't have eyes 'cause I were not able to see the happiness and sparkling light in YOUR eyes. And now ....after all this, YOU have forgotten YOUR own magic! YOU do not recognise me. I had lost YOU once. But not this time!

YOU have taught me to fight against the silence and darkness. I have just decided to follow YOU. Once YOU were my teacher, YOU fought against the BLACK darkness for me. Now its time to payback! We are just exchanging the roles here...Nothing else!!

P.S. :
Ayesha Kapoor has given a commendable performance as Young Michelle McNally. Rani Mukherjee has given her "the best" performance! After looking the promos, I thought Amitabh Bachchan overacts in this movie. I do take my words back!! SLB's direction skills are fabulous. I can't imagine he is the same person who had created Dev(bewada)Das!

Check this out .....Some facts about BLACK!

"Promotion"al News from PNN

PNN Reports: In today’s breaking news, we have finally got a confirmed news that Gaurav, the bartender at HillBrook, has been kicked off from his current grade as he is getting promoted to next level. As this person is very good friend of Mr. Mandar Prabhughate, CEO of PNN, Mr. Mandar decided to take his interview himself. ( Our rival News Agencies might spread news that there is no one left in the PNN except the so called CEO. And that is the main reason him being conducting interview. But please don’t take these agencies seriously. They might also try to prove that Mr. Mohit, the sleepless in HillBrook, has eventually threatened Mr. Mandar to conduct interview else he will not serve any more cocktails in the HillBrook Bar. But please don’t take them seriously. Mr. Mohit has also not threatened Mr. Mandar about doing all the stupid things he does everyday with all things in the cubicle of Mr. Mandar. There is no security threat to anything in Mr. Mandar’s cubicle like his name plate, his phone, his photos in the cubicle. These agencies are just trying to tarnish the image of PNN. ) Here are the excerpts from the Interview :

Our CEO : “So Mr. Gaurav, how do you feel after being kicked off? I mean from the current grade off course.”

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “I felt very emotional about getting kicked off from the grade where I was working for almost 3 years now. But I am happy with my performance. And boys played very well also. “

Errrr… I think Mohit gave too many cocktails to our CEO today. “boys played very well” is the famous and default dialogue from Mr. Mohammad Azharuddin. Where did it come from here? Seems our CEO has not taken the notes properly. Let me modify these notes!

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “I felt very emotional about getting kicked off from the grade where I was working for almost 3 years now. But I am happy with my performance. It feels very sad that I have to leave my current position. But that is life. You have to get along with it. Each day is a new match. “

Our CEO : “Good to know that! So what do you think motivated you to work hard and reach to this level?”

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “I think the most of the credit goes to the sleepless in Hill Brook! (Angrily) Saala Kaam ke naam pe Monika (name changed for our CEO’s security sake!) se chatting karata tha!

Our CEO :”Wait wait … Gaurav…! You are in front of Camera now. The all fans of PNN are watching you now, from India, from Swedan and from US as well.”

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “Ohh .. Sorry sorry! I meant to say that this guy used to do “pyari pyari baate” on chatting and I used to think that he is working hard. But when I go to office in the morning, I would see that whole work is still pending. I used to think that this guy is talking with some users on phone. But later I found out that those all calls were made to Monica! So that made me work even harder. Its not my fault!”

Our CEO : “So Gaurav, you will be getting increments in your pay. How would you like to spend them fruitfully?”

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “Off Course you will get one extra cocktail at Hill Brook Bar every Friday night at my cost. “

( I did not miss the chance to capture the grinning face of our CEO at this answer.)

Our CEO : “Well Gaurav. Thanks for that. Always appreciated! Tell some thing to the juniors who aspire to taste the success like you.”

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “Work hard. Watch hindi movies a lot, which will help you to sleep peacefully everyday. The peaceful sleep will make your BRAIN CELLS fresh to face fresh problems which you have to face every fresh day in our arena (No fresh here!).”

Our CEO : “Gaurav, can you tell something about your future plans to our viewers?”

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “Yes, certainly! I would like to continue my good work in the same way. Watch at least one HINDI movie every week which will help me work harder. Also I plan to go to gym which I am planning to go since a year now. I would like to take this opportunity to announce that finally myself and the sleepless (bug) in Hill Brook are going to gym from next week. And yes, don’t forget to mention that we are doing this announcement every week since few days now. That’s all about my plans.”

Our CEO : “Any Special Plans Gaurav? “

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : (grining) “Well …. Hmm ……….I think I can’t see Vinay around….”

Our CEO : “Gaurav, you are blushing … and you haven’t answered my question and you are trying to change the subject. Are you in rush or something?.”.

Mr. Gaurav aka Bar Tender at Hill Brook : “No, I am not changing the subject. I never do that when anybody asks me about that. And yes I am in rush as there is an emergency request from the web team. So I am in rush. Ok, BYE!”

Special Note to all our readers :
PNN is a world famous News Agency, Prabhughate News Network, founded and run by CEO, Mandar Prabhughate. But now-a-days, he has stopped SPYing as he believes "NO NEWS" is a "GOOD NEWS". So don't worry guys, no body is watching you from PNN.
Hill Brook is not the name of any bar as such. It is an appt name where Gaurav, Mohit and Vinay are staying. Hope everybody is clear about this!

20 Things Common to All Engg Colleges

Some banality ... after all I am a good copy cat!

1) The lecturers don't teach. The students don't study. The only guy who benefits is the one who owns the 'dhaba' next to the college.

2) Rules are made to be broken.

3) Promises are made to be broken.

4) Deadlines are made to be extended...ALWAYS!

5) Guys always think the chics in the college next lane are more beautiful.

6) The lab assistants are the most respected people(during the lab exams )

7) The watchmen are the people most bribed.

8) The HOD is the person most respected(heights of sycophancy here).

9) The principal is the person most abused and insulted(behind the back )

10) Dropping subjects is 'cool'.(arre yaar..drop the idea of dropping subjects plzz).

11) There is always a lecturer in the college who cant speak proper 'English'.

12) Night-out is the second most important tool to ace the exams.

13) The most important tool..the bhramastra..is the 'chit' in which the words can be understood only by the person who wrote them(in most of the cases )

14) The freshers are the most sought after..be it in the canteen, the 'free' periods or for completing the records, assignments.

15) The second-years are the ones with the 'I am the don-of-the-college' feeling.

16) The third years are the ones with the 'so-many-backlogs' feeling and the poor
souls get down to studying after bossing around in the college for so long. But the fun still continues.

17) The fourth years have no connection with the college whatsoever...with no interest in ragging, pulling each other's legs, the bday parties, the bday bums et al which they enjoyed so much till now. All they want is a good placement and a '1st-class' tag attached to their memo.

18) The geeks are the most pampered lot during the internal exams.

19) The first three years are spent in cursing the college, the people there, the system etc.

20) But towards the end of the fourth year, people tend to feel nostalgic abt the pure unadulterated fun they have had for 4 years. Now the very system they disliked, the very canteen they cursed, the time that they spent there, the bday bums they suffered..all these seem like heaven to them.

One more movie Blog from me!

Bride n' Prejudice :

Story of an Old Fat Lady who behaves as if she wants to sell her daughters abroad through the marriage system! I wonder what went wrong with Gurinder Chadha to show such a character in the movie..... very mych disgusting! She has spoiled the movie.

Sheesha :

People want to waste money. So they go to Thailand and make movie. Neha Dhupia does not want to waste clothes. She does not wear most of them at most of the time in the movie. I want to waste the time. I DO WASTE it literally by watching this movie.

A Road to Ladakh :

Short n' Sweet movie!

Little Terrorist :

Worth getting nominated for Oscars. Duration : Less than 15 mins.

Insaan :

Not made for Human beings! Who says no one can waste the talent of Ajay Devgan?

Blackmail :

Ajay Devgan and the kid have performed well. Good timepass movie. But please do give rest to your brain cells while watching movie.

Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav :

The Best part in the movie is first and last 5 mins where Lalu himself comes on the screen. But to see this you have to bear the 3 hr long non-stop non sense!

A Confession of a HELPLESS Tree

A Confession of a HELPLESS Tree

This happens every year! I have been suffering this since my birth! It seems YOU don't want me to LIVE in this world. You give me the hope of LIVING in summer, when you bestow upon me all the good things which YOU can! You give me the Sunshine which provides me the energy to LIVE. You give me the Fresh Air to let me blossom with leaves. They are my children. YOU flourish me with so many of them together. YOU give me enough resources to make my life happy and enjoyable. YOU make me believe that I am the HAPPIEST CREATION of YOUR MAGIC in this world!

And then YOU make me so comfortable that I always think that I can be YOU. I feel that YOU have given me enough privileges to LIVE on my own. I feel like being YOU! YOU give me strength. YOU give me POWER. YOU give me authority to challenge YOUR existence! This is the state where YOU start hating me. My existence is no longer worth for YOU! YOU create all sorts of conditions which make my life miserable. YOU give me no Sunshine and no fresh air. YOU make me lose my leaves. Have you ever felt the pain of losing YOUR dear ones like that? And then YOU make my life HARD by means of creating SNOW FALLs. It is the down FALL of YOUR faith and trust that YOU had shown on me! YOU are scared. YOU are feeling insecure with my existence and hence YOU try to destroy me .. just because I was challenging YOU?

But YOU only have created the fighting SPIRIT inside me! YOU have taught me to fight against all uncertainties and emerge as a WINNER since I was a mere seed. YOU help me getting sprouted through all kinds of adverse conditions. YOU taught me not to lose HOPE in any condition. I still remember all those abilities YOU installed inside me and sure I am gonna use them again to fight against YOU! I will fight against YOU ... not against YOUR existence ...but against YOUR attitude!

And I am sure that YOU have to lose one day! YOU have to give me every single thing which YOU have snatched from me. YOU have to return my SUMMER again one day!

I am still fighting ....standing strong and handsome against YOUR ATTITUDE!

P.S. Thought of putting one dialogue from The Devil's Advocate

"Let me give you little bit inside info about GOD. GOD likes to watch. HE is prankster! THINK about it ..."
"HE gives us instincts. HE gives us the extraordinary gifts and then..... What does he do???"
"I swear, for his own amusement, his own private cosmic gag reel,
HE sets rules in oppositions..... that's the goof of all time!"

"Look but don't touch ..."
"Touch but don't taste... "
"Taste but don't swallow ...."

"And when you are jumping from one foot to the next ..what is HE doing???"
"HE is laughing at you. HE is sadist and HE is absentee land lord.."

"Worship that ???? "
"NEVER ! "

"Better to reign in HELL than serve in HEAVEN!"

- Al Pacino
