I hate Coding...!

I have started hating coding! Its not about the coding which I do to earn my bread. Its much worse than what I do to Unix and Oracle everyday! I have started hating Copy and Paste as well! I was thinking that Copy and Paste is the simplest job. It indeed is! I am doing that for 5 years now without having much trouble, in fact I am getting paid for that!

This is about the new movie, Da Vinci Code! Its about Tom Hanks most awful performance! Its about consecutive disappointing outing of Ron Howard, yes ...the same man who gave us Apollo 13, Beautiful Mind ...!

Ron Howard's last movie "The Cinderella Man" was nothing more than pathetic. But this movie beats it too. In fact Cinderella movie was good in patches. This has only unbearable patches!

Despite of my innumerable "just-do-ruthless-donkey-work" kind of days at office, I couldn't stop myself going to this movie, just because I had heard so much about this book.

But sometimes, better things can be made to look ordinary. That's what happened with Ron Howard. He decided to give more weightage to the secret in the movie and he lost track of all. He failed to convey and convince his characters to the people in the movie. He didn't build the characters at all or showed any signs of trying to do it. Unless you get comfortable with the characters in a movie, you can't concentrate on the story, forget about the secrets such as this. Look at God Father and why it is one of the best movies. All characters were build very efficiently and that's what was the first step towards success. Ron Howard failed to do that and gave us an ordinary suspense thriller! Tom Hanks was not sleeping for days, I guess that's why he looked very sleepish in the movie. As per his character in the movie, he was supposed to do very little, he could manage to do nothing. I doubt he accepted this movie just because Ron Howard was doing it. Nothing much to comment on his performance here!

But this movie has inspired me to read the book at least. Btw, this is not an attempt to discourage you to see the movie, but in fact sometimes its better to see extra-ordinary talent doing ordinary things!
